Cloud Front is a Content Delivers Network (CDN)

Cloud Front "edges" Objects closer to the user and serves them directly. It can also proxy dynamic content.

Content edged with Cloud Front is called a Distribution. This content has it's own url on the Cloud Front domain, e.g. 1337test.cloudfront.net.
